Customer Testimonials

I have been a very loyal customer. I have at least a half dozen Woodman’s Pals. I use them to clear trails as a volunteer. This tool is indispensable, and I tell everyone what a great tool this is. I will continue to be a customer.
This is a real American Company. You guys are why we buy these tools.
Here is a picture of my son Taylor's fort. The Woodsman’s Pal Model 145 was the preferred tool for notching, limbing, cutting of rope for lashing, and harvesting of saplings for the roof structure. The fort (more like a small cabin) was constructed of cedar on a bluff overlooking Lake Manitou on Manitoulin Island in Canada. Construction of the fort was almost done totally by Taylor working on and off over the course of five weeks with some help from brothers Brennan and Ellis and a friend, Luke. The fort is approximately 6 by 6 ft. with the main walls are about 4 ft. high. The Woodsman’s Pal performed flawlessly under some very hard use. It was sharpened once and held the edge well. We use the Woodsman’s pal every year to maintain the trails to our favorite fishing spots as well as knocking back the saplings and other brush that encroach on the yard and driveway. Whenever our friends on Lake Manitou see it they ask about it and want to know all about it. It is a great tool and perfect for our needs.
I’ve recently purchased your woodman’s pal and am very impressed with the quality of the tool. It is so hard to find good tools!
My pal arrived today in good order. Thanks a lot for getting it to me expeditiously. It is a gorgeous tool! Compliments and many thanks!
I was a ½ mile up from the line truck working on some trees on the primary line when the chainsaw quit. My 284 finished the job. A 40 foot poplar is just a snack for a Woodman’s Pal!
My husband ordered me one a few weeks ago and I love it! I work in law enforcement and use the tool to cut down illegal marijuana plants. The sickle hook is especially useful for reaching up and quickly cutting the twine the bad guys use to tie each plant to a rock or branch.
Thanks for making a cool tool! My dad digs his!
I’m 76 and had been drooling over your tools since I was a teenager, but always thought the cost was too high except for people who would be using them professionally. Now that I’ve bought one I’m kicking myself for not getting one decades ago.
Recently bought a woodsman 284 and as a contractor making a living with his tools it is getting more and more difficult to buy quality tools. It takes a lot to impress me in this area and you certainly have done that .Throw in it being made in the USA and you have a happy client who isn't beyond spreading the word.Keep it up and God Bless the USA.
I want to commend Pro Tool Industries for your quality American Made knives. We need far more American products.
My 1st woodsman's pal was a wore out model that my grandfather carried during WWII. It was so rung out that the leather spacers fell plum off. My next one came to me from you guys. I have had it for several years now and I am still just as excited to get it out and us it as I was the first time I got it at the house. Other than a periodical sharpining, oiling of the sheath, it is maintinence free. Everyone that has seen mine wants it, but I just refer them to you gays or the store over in Mexia TX that sells them. Your product ROCKS!!! THANKS FOR A GREAT TOOL!!!
I'm on a Search and Rescue team in Clackamas County Oregon, where we spend a lot of time hacking through heavy brush and blackberries. I recently purchased a 22" Woodman's Pal and have already spent a few days searching with it, hacking through brush for eight hours at time. I have to say that your tool beats any machete I've tried, and is the best tool that I've ever used for in our conditions.
