It is made by Pro Tool Industries in Pottstown Pennsylvania out of 100 percent American materials. The Woodman’s Pal has heavy steal construction that makes it both durable and formidable.

Every Woodman’s Pal is 100 percent designed and handcrafted by American’s out of American materials in our Pennsylvania manufacturing facility, and it comes with a guarantee for a lifetime of service. The Woodman’s Pal blade is made from US cold-rolled steel, hardened for a long duration without becoming brittle. The steel used is 1075 cold rolled carbon steel, hardened (tempered) to a Rockwell Hardness Scale of 47 +/- 2 degrees. The handle is hardwood American Ash from Pennsylvania. All raw materials used are domestic, nothing imported: wood, steel, leather, rivets, etc.

This blade is riveted and cemented into the hardwood handle. All Woodman’s Pal blades cut through branches up to 1 ½” in diameter with a single stroke. There are four models to choose from, all made in the USA.

The Woodman’s Pal® Classic - Model 481 is 16 ½ inches long and weighs 23 ounces, and has a 16” ash hardwood handle with a nylon strap.

Woodman’s Pal® Military Premium - Model 284 is also 16 ½ inches long weighs 25 ounces, and has a 5 inch military-style soft leather grip with steel knuckle guard to keep it cool in summer and warm in the winter.

Woodman’s Pal® Long Reach - Model 145 is 22 inches long with an 11 inch ash hardwood handle to provide increased leverage for chopping power and for jobs where workers can remain at a distance from the actual cutting action.

Woodman’s Pal® Compact Premium - Model 784 has a shorter blade at 14 ½ inches so that it can easily be carried in a backpack. It also has a 4 ½ inch military-style soft leather grip with steel knuckle guard. The tool weighs 23 ounces.
