I have used this on tool handles and my Long Reach Woodmans Pal . Rough the handle up wiith a little sand paper and coat . One coat will work, but two coats are better for long term use . It is a clear base with white granuales in it similar to white small sand . You will see these and each coat will make them more visible . That isn't important to me on tool handles which can slip and cut me or damage things around where I'm using them . It does prevent slipping when a handle is wet with swe [...read more]

As it says forms a wax type protection when it dries. It's the thing to use on tools especially when storeing or putting up . I use this on some high carbon steel knives, machetes, and bayonets that are generaly in a storage cabinet , and it works well . The Woodmans Pal is heavy enough to cut easily, it's well made , and Made in America . The steel is tough enough for most liimb cutting and splitting on general brush, and sharpens fairly easy and stays there for a while . I have several machete type cutters but this is the best and my favorite . Beats those other junkers that fall apart after any heavy use . Well worth the money, should last a life a life time and pass on to the son .
